A dive into the Fania archives unearthed 'Café', a Latin funk and soul gem on its 50th anniversary. Legendary conguero Ray Barretto produced the one 'Café' self-titled album, released on Vaya Records. The opener 'Sí Dame Tu Amor' ripples with funk grooves-sounding like something Barretto would have released himself-while 'Identify Yourself' is an absolute jam. Featuring (AAA) lacquers cut from the original master tapes by Kevin Gray at Cohearent Audio, this reissue is pressed on 180-gram vinyl.
