While her work as an actress would precede and have greater longevity than her career as a vocalist, it was not until she released her debut album 'Julie Is Her Name', that London truly became a household name. No one could have imagined the album's success considering that it was the first LP of a still relatively unknown singer, and only featured guitar and bass (from Barney Kessel and Ray Leatherwood).
