Cat Stevens' fifth LP on Island Records, 'Foreigner', was released in July 1973, and featured the single 'The Hurt.' Yusuf had a dedicated fan base coming into this release - the first he solely wrote and produced himself; 'Foreigner' featured a different sound than its predecessors.
